Mexico Hunting

Our Mexican site is more than just a hunting destination. It is an experience. The really great hunting trips are those that are relived in our minds long after the species and number of birds are forgotten and the mounted trophies on the wall gather dust. Fond memories say it all. Our place is a happy place. Isolated from the frenzy of the 20th century, yet only an hour and a half from an international airport and 45 minutes away from a black topped runway with security for private planes.Yes, there are still such places in existence. Mexico's state of Sonora is such a place. Our facilities overlook the pristine body of waterknown as Lake Mocuzari. It nestles in the low mountains that graduates into Mexico's Sierra Madre. Guests have described this lake setting as being one of the most scenic in Mexico.

Species:
The first ducks to arrive, generally sometime during the month of October, are the bull pintail. Several weeks later the hens and the current year's hatch arrive. A number of species winter here: Teal, Bluebill Pintail, Blackducks, Redheads, Widgeon, Golden Eye and occasionally a few of the colorful Wood ducks. Considerable number of Whitewing and Morning doves seem to have found just the right place to winter. They have it all here, water, feeding areas, climate, isolated and protected roosting and resting areas and...not a half dozen hunters behind every possible spot of concealment.

For the fisherman, YES, there are fish in the lake! The lake has Talapia, Golden Perch and two species of catfish, Channel and Blue.
