Montana Hunting

We offer two outfitters in Montana - one in the mountainous central region the other in the more open plains areas of the southeastern part of the state. Both offer outstanding hunting opportunities for the experienced hunter and the novice.

Central Montana

We are based in central Montana where the country is rich in mountains, meadows and streams. Our hunt area is located on private land in the Big Belt Mountains. We have three camps for elk hunting. The elevation in this area ranges from 5000 to 7000 feet and the temperatures can vary from 60 degrees to below zero during the fall hunts. The area is abundant with many game animals: Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Antelope, Black Bear, Mountain Lion, Coyotes and Blue Grouse. We hunt using only four wheel drive vehicles. The hunts are diversified so that most hunters can be accommodated on their physical abilities. Hunts are conducted from very nice mountain cabins located in the midst of the hunting area. We provide generous home cooked meals with a wide variety of main courses. Accommodations in camp make women hunters as well as the nonhunter feel very comfortable. Our guides are experienced. We guide only five or six hunters per week at each of our camps unless prior arrangements are made

BLACK CANYON CAMP is our back country camp. The roads in this area are minimal and the largest extent of the hunting is done by hiking in some beautiful mountain canyons. This camp is for those who are in shape, willing to hike and experience a wilderness hunt that is all on private land.

SUNSHINE BASIN CAMP covers beautiful mountainous private land. This area is the summer range for two to four hundred head of elk as well as mule deer, antelope, and bear. The camp consists of a cabin used for cooking and dining and a second cabin equipped with bunks floors lights and heat for the comfortable lodging of our hunters.

CANDY DAN CAMP covers 18000+ acres of private land and has elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, and antelope. This makes a very good combination hunt. At this camp, we have a mountain cabin for cooking and dining adjacent to a bunk house equipped with all the comforts for the hunters and a separate cabin for the guides. This camp is great for up to six hunters.

Southeast Montana

You'll love the attitude of this outfitter which was founded by hunters, for hunters, with the belief that hunting trips should be more than the simple harvesting of an animal. Rather, it is our belief that each hunt should be a "quality" experience. Our hunts are 100% fair chase for Antelope, Whitetail and Mule Deer, and Turkey, with no game fences or guaranteed kill situations. Our guides are professionals who have put in countless hours over the years to achieve the level of success in their field they currently enjoy.

Antelope hunts are 3 or 5 day hunts, or 5 or 7 day hunts combined with deer. These hunts are conducted from both motels and full service tent camps on private ranches.
