There is no better,
smallmouth bass fishing anywhere in Nova Scotia than in the
rocky, glacial lakes surrounding our lodge. It is not uncommon to land
as many as 40 fish a day (one to four pounds average). Trophy fish are
still plentiful and the waters uncrowded. Most fishing is done from
20-foot, flat-bottom skiffs, making for a comfortable and practical
outdoor adventure; or simply cast from shore or from the Lodge launching
or wharfing facilities - the fish are there! Expect excellent smallmouth
bass fishing from mid-May through October. Catch and release is encouraged.
Brook and brown trout are also abundant
in the pools, lakes and streams of this pristine, wilderness region.
The experienced guides have traveled the length and breadth of the area,
and have uncovered what they believe are some of the best trout fishing
'spots' in the province. Brown trout landings can range from 2 to 12
pounds, while brook or rainbow trout can vary from 1 to 5 pounds. Expect
great trout fishing from April through to the end of June and in September.
Fly fishing and spinning rods are permitted. Catch and release is encouraged,
although fishermen can keep up to 5 fish a day.
Packages include lodging, meals, transportation to and from Halifax
Airport, license and taxes. Gratuities Extra.
